"It is strange": Paul Rudd gushes over his love for Patrick Mahomes in new interview
The world-famous actor has something he wants the world to know about the Chiefs quarterback
Paul Rudd is probably best known as Ant-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After that? His Chiefs fandom makes a strong case for second place. The Kansas Citian has once again made his love for the Chiefs, and specifically, its QB known. On Thursday, the comedic actor once again professed his love for Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. While paying a visit to NFL Network's Peter Schrager on the host's podcast The Season, Rudd was asked about what he wanted the world to know about Patrick Mahomes.Rudd's answer? Great parents. The comedic actor credits the QB's parents with how down-to-earth and considerate the NFL star is. "Nicest, coolest, most awesome parents," Rudd said. He had the chance to meet the full Mahomes family when he gave Patrick Mahomes his MVP award at the NFL honors in 2019. The actor knows his love for the Chiefs is getting a lot of attention. And despite his youthful looks, Rudd knows how bizarre his fandom might appear as a 53-year-old man. "Let me just say; it is strange for someone my age to look at someone his age and just love him so much. And he's not in my family," Rudd said. "If it wasn't just for the sports thing, it would be creepy." Kansas City, as a whole, can probably relate to Rudd's feelings. The actor has been in the news quite a bit lately for his love of the Chiefs. He also recently crashed Travis Kelce's podcast to wish the tight end a happy birthday. Paul Rudd will get a chance to watch his favorite team again this Sunday when Kansas City heads to San Francisco to battle the 49ers.
